Midwives have the honor of being guides and companions through one of life’s great journeys of transformation. We hold this process dear, and we also endeavor to hold it lightly, so that you are the owner of your experience and the expert on your own path. There is a central paradox in birth: in one respect, as a birthing parent, no one can do it for you; and yet, no one does it alone - we each give birth within the context of our community, our family, our culture, all of which deeply inform and influence the process. Being a part of this process is my calling, my privilege, my joy.
